KF HOUSE
Where Personality Meets Design
Concept Design
Set within a character-filled home in Seddon, this project began with a client whose personality was as layered as the house itself. A writer by trade, but far more than that, KF’s home reflected a life of stories, texture and time.
The existing house was beautiful, gritty and unapologetically itself. Not something you come across often, and certainly not something to overwrite. The aim of the project was simple but considered: respect the site, draw from its history, and leave behind a thoughtful legacy.
The design approach was guided by the site and its materials. Architectural archetypes, textures and contrasts informed the concept, allowing different spaces to come together through materiality rather than form alone.
This project explores how materials inspire form, and how personality can shape architecture without needing to shout.
