DALTON ROAD
Nestled within the industrial estate of Thomastown, this project transforms a warehouse shell into a refined, functional workplace with personality.
Cam’s brief was to create a corporate office that worked across two levels, accommodating meeting rooms, office spaces, a kitchen and garage, without losing the raw character of the existing building.
Drawing from the industrial nature of the warehouse and the client’s love of Art Deco, the design introduces large crittall-style reeded glass walls to divide spaces. These allow privacy while filtering soft, dappled light through the central void above the garage.
A key feature is the existing timber battened ceiling, extended down the wall to subtly conceal the entry to more private areas, maintaining clean lines and visual continuity throughout the space.
The result is a confident, character-driven office that balances industrial grit with considered detail, supporting modern work without feeling overly corporate.
